The Hyngarian Educational Cousel decided to sent a group of Hungarian students led by professor H. to Halle Medical University in Germany to graduate, and therefore reassure a successful future(due to the fame of the University). The battle of bulge was promising. Prof. H.appeared in class with the Volkischer Beobachter(NAZI OFFICIAL PAPER) and commented on the Front Page. He was a dedicated Nazi. Out of the blue sky, "Hannibal Ante Portas", the Allies poverpowered the Germans, Halle was evacuated and the Hungarian students headed by professeor H. took off east, and did not stop until they reached the city of Kolozsvar, and the Bolyai University.
They did not even settle down and were surrounded by the Soviet and Rumanian Army.
Under Soviet pressure the Rumanians allowd the fondation of the Autonomic Hungarian Region, in Transylvania, with population 80%Hungarian-Szekely, capital Marosvasarhely(Targu-Mures).
A Medico-Pharmaceutic Institute replaced the ex-school for Hungarian officers: Hadaprod Iskola). The teaching class from the Bolyai Tudomany Egyetem Cluj occupied the premises.
Mothers in the city looked happily forward to receive the students in their homes, if they had a daughter. One room rented to a student raised hopes in the mothers that their daughters will be married to a medical doctor. I had my own furnished room and was not marriage minded. Girls were plenty in the town, without hooker mothers.
The war was just over, but the city was full of joy, fancy restaurants with all night music and dance. Resort Sovata was at riding distance with my mototcycle. The courses at the Medical School was not compulsory, short of the preactical ones, like dissection and labotarory, gynecological examinations, neurosurgery, histology practice etc. I chose not to attend classes, like most of my fellow students that listen faifhtfully to the lectures delivered by professors, and eagerly took notes.
