Ronee' is relieved, as she has heard that her mother came through surgery beautifully, but she is still nervous about her upcoming tv taping in a few hours.

Dear Journal~
I am so relieved I don't know whether to laugh or to cry. Maman made it through her surgery (her surgery itself lasted only about an hour, an hour and fifteen minutes at the very most!); she is now in the Recovery Room, where she is resting comfortably! The surgery, according to Dwerlina, was a rousing success; they removed the scar tissue (and the bad disk) out of her back, and they think that she will eventually walk without anything or maybe just a cane! Oh, praise God; I am so relieved right now, I feel as though a huge weight has been lifted right off my scrawny shoulders!
But at the same time, I am still quite worried: I have my television taping in just a few short hours, and I am hoping I don't screw up big time! I would just DIE!! (NOT really, but I WOULD be mortified!) All I can do is hope I do my very best and not let the other distractions get to me. All I can do is just get out there when my name is called and sing my heart out! I just have to think of the positives and go on from there, and not worry about all the other gobbledygook!
Daddy is taking me out to Whataburger for lunch, but I don't know if I will be able to eat; I am still plenty nervous, and my stomach is still jumping around like a Mexican jumping bean! I hope I can keep my food down; if there is one thing I do NOT want to do today, it is to throw up! I absolutely HATE to throw up; it is so NASty and disGUSTing!! ICK!!
I will have to call home when I get back from my taping, and I will have to see if maman is still doing well. I wish I could be there with her, but they don't let kids under the age of 13 in Nashville Memorial Hospital, and if I WERE to go to the hospital to visit, I would have to spend my time whiling away the hours in the hospital lobby or in the "designated area" for kids. BOORRRRRRRRRRing. I would much rather see my friend or my family member IN the hospital, be able to go to their hospital room and VISIT, instead of having to sit in the play area or in the stupid hospital lobby! There is nothing to do or read there, and I get so bored I think I am going to lose my ever-lovin' MIND!! AGGGGHHHH!! But next year I will be able to visit, and I am looking forward to that; I HATE, absolutely HATE, being treated like a snotty-nosed little kid who doesn't know her right foot from her left! Just because I am short for my age doesn't give people the right to treat me like I am a little kid; I am TWELVE now, almost a teenager!! :(
Well, I have to take a bath and get my hair washed and done; and then I have to do my vocal warm-ups and then get ready and go to the studio where the show is taped; and then I do my thing when it is my turn to perform. So I will have a very busy day ahead; I will write more probably Friday or so and let you know how I did; so stay tuned! I just hope I do well, and I hope the people like me!

Oh I know the feeling and I throw up still even though I am a grown woman when it is someone that I love in the hospital or having surgery. But geez I remember being a kid too and being ignored and getting bored out of my skull waiting for somebody to tell me something.
Hey girl, how are you faring without your sister, but I see she is still there, I just hope you will remember you have friends here when Karla is away and cruising for guys on the ship...LOL! Peace, Ed & Rufuz
