Dear Rebekkah~
Hi! I am so sorry I haven't written in a while; I do hope you forgive me. I also was sorry to learn that you are in the hospital with an infection and that you are on an I.V. What exactly happened, and do you know how long you are going to be in the hospital? I hope and pray you are out soon!
This is your pal, Johnny, in case you haven't figured that out by now. I have been doing okay, but ever since I found out that you were admitted to the hospital there in Sacramento, I have been very upset.
How are your parents taking this, your being in the hospital? I hope they are coming to see you during visiting hours. Being in the hospital can be a very scary, lonely experience for a kid! If I could, I would come see you myself, but I am NOT walking all the way to California all the way from Tennessee! That'd be an awfully long walk, especially on my crutches! LOL
How is the weather there? Here, it is rainy and yuck; I hope the weather is a lot nicer there. I am now on Easter Break; we go back to school on the Tuesday after Easter. I don't exactly know what I will be doing for Easter, but I DO know that we are going to Easter services at church, and we are also going to the Maunday Thursday communion service, and we are also going to the Good Friday service at our church. They are having a pastor coming in from Ohio, and they are going to have a special prayer and healing service, so you can bet I will be lifting your name in prayer THAT day! We will be very busy with our church this week; it's one of our busiest weeks besides Christmas week and also the week when we have "Heaven's Gates and Hell's Flames" each October, prior to Hallowe'en. Something is always going on at our church, and I do hope that if you ever come this way, you get an opportunity to come to our church. We would love to have you visit, and we would do our best to make you feel right at home!
I want to see that movie, "The Passion of the Christ" (it was edited for obvious reasons, but it still has an R rating), so I can forget about even going. Maman and daddy won't let me, or any of us kids younger than 16 see it, grr! It is playing at the local movie theatres, and it has been drawing big crowds, and maman and daddy and a whole group from Christ Community Assembly of God Church are going on Good Friday, prior to the special Good Friday service. Are you thinking of seeing it? If so, you are so lucky to get to see it; you will have to tell me all about it if you go!
I am doing well in school; I got my latest report card, and I had mostly B's and one C, and I even had an A! I was shocked; I rarely EVER get A's! Maman and daddy were so proud of me; and tonight, they are taking me out for a celebatory dinner at the Golden Corral. YUM! I LOVE that place, such good food, and so much to choose from! I am getting hungry just THINKING about it! :P
Well, I know this isn't much, but I wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you, and I was sorry to hear that you are in the hospital. I pray you are out soon, and I hope you feel better soon! I am sorry you had to miss "Swan Lake"; that had to be such a downer! I know how it is when I have to miss things like that; it is so annoying when plans change, isn't it? I love you, and I hope you can visit one day. I'd love to meet you besides through our emails or our pictures!
