Dear Mama~

Hry! It's me, your daughter, Dwerlina! I hope this finds you well..I have been doing wonderfully! :) School is still going along well, and I am still serving up the food (and the laughs) at Mulate's! I am also getting ready to come home next week for Christmas and New Year's, and...oh, my God, I can't WAIT to see you guys again!! :)

I have some exciting news I will be sharing with you when I come up there. So be warned! (Don't worry, it is GREAT news, so you can stop worrying your pretty head off, MAMAN! :) ) I am still with my boyfriend, and the news involves him (and me), but I am NOT getting anything out more than that! You will have to WAIT!! :) So there!! :)

I managed to escape Katrina's wrath, but she DID make a mess of our yard, and she DID knock out our power for a week. It was NASTY. No water, no food, no electricity, no air conditioning...I stunk WORSE than a man, and when the power/air/water came back on, I was NEVER so glad in all my days!! :) But then Rita, her obnoxious sister, came a callin', just a few weeks later, and we DID have some damage..but not too bad, so don't ya worry! I still had shattered nerves, and it's no wonder...after going through two major hurricanes in LESS than a month, well, that sorta' thing does that to a person, you know?? So many people have it so far worse than I ever will have it...they lost EVERYTHING!!..., and as bad as I feel for them, I am still glad to know that at least I have food, a place to go home to after school and/or work, let alone, CLOTHES on my back and FOOD in my belly!! I also have my job intact, and I can still pay my bills! :) So I have PLENTY to be thankful for this coming Christmas time!! :)

Well, maman, I just wanted to tell you that I love you and I will be home next week! I can't WAIT to meet Janica, Arjie, and Rani, and I can't WAIT to see the rest of y'all again!! I  miss you all sooooo stinkin' bad it isn't FUNNY!! Until next week, this is your daughter, Dwerlina, signing off! (I am doing some last minute crammin' before the finals over the weekend, and then I will be HOME for Christmas and New Year's!! :) ) Wish me luck on my finals!! :) (Then, if I do well, I will then GRADUATE in the spring!! :) And I DO hope you come down for THAT!!!! :) )
