Johnny writes in his journal while sitting in the family bus; the family is on their way back home to Tennessee from Louisiana, where they attended a crawfish festival.

Dear Journal~
Hi! How are you? I am fine; I am sitting in the bus with my family trying to scare up something to do. We are on our way home from Louisiana; we were in Louisiana for the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival, and we all had a marvelous time.
At the festival, I ate a lot of Cajun food, saw many Cajun music bands, and I even got to perform. I performed last night with Belton Richard and his band, "The Musical Aces", and I had fun. The people clapped, and they seemed to like my accordion playing very much. That made me feel good.
The weather in Louisiana was patchy some days, and rainy on others. It didn't rain too much, but at times the festival goers were interrupted by rainfall and they had to go scrambling for cover. The performers had to get off the stage so they wouldn't get electrocuted, and the food venders had to cover their food so it wouldn't get ruined by the rain. There was some lightning and thunder; that was another reason why the music had to stop; lightning and electrical equipment don't mix.
I am doing quite well; haven't had anything to complain about. I do, however, miss Rebekkah Cohen, my girlfriend from California: she was here for Easter and we had a wonderful visit. During the two weeks she was here with her aunt and cousin, we went to the Grand Ole Opry (twice), saw the McGruders in concert, went to the church Cantata, went shopping at the mall, and saw "Ice Age 2: The Meltdown", among other things.
Rebekkah was walking on crutches, but she is now working towards weaning herself from the crutches and walking without any assistance whatsoever.
Next month, maman and daddy are going to Mexico; they are going on a cruise for five days. We are also going to the CMA Music Festival (formerly called Fan Fair), which is a huge festival for country music fans and singers, who get together for continuous concerts, "meet'n'greets" (autograph sessions), singers selling their wares, and other events. Over 100,000 country music fans from all over the world come to Nashville for this event, and it is always a lot of fun! I never get tired of going; I have gone to Fan Fair/the CMA Music Festival since I can remember.
