Good news on the homefront. Louisiana has just heard from her adoption counselor; the child that they were hoping to adopt is to become theirs. They will now have 54 children. As you can imagine, Louisiana is overcome with joy.

Dear Journal~
I just got the news, and I am crying so hard I can barely see to write!
I just found out from my adoption counselor that the child we were hoping to adopt--a little boy from Russia named Vlademir Aleksander--is to become ours. OURS! We are going to become the parents to our fifty-fourth child, and it is a little BOY!! Vlademir is seven years old, and he is in a wheelchair because of cerebral palsy. He has red hair and a winning smile; he is the cutest, as you can see by the pic I affixed to this entry!
The adoption has been approved, but we won't get to see our new son-to-be until the doctors at the medical clinic give the okay and the last bit of paperwork has been cleared. However, the good news is this: the adoption HAS been okayed, and all we have to do is wait for little Vlady to arrive!
Oh, there is going to be much celebration going on when I sit the kids down later and tell them the news. Bill already knows, and all he can do is pray prayers of gratitude and thanks to God! I am shaking so hard as I type this; please don't be surprised if you see any mistakes in here, but my fingers are flying so fast and my mind is so full I can't help myself!!
There is also going to be much celebration when I share the news with my church family and with my co-workers! What an early Mother's Day gift to me: another child!! This is going to be the BEST Mother's Day EVER!!
Oh, I have to go now and share the news with my friends! Oh, God be thanked! I am about to become a mamma--AGAIN!!
