Dearest Wyndi Storm~
I don't know what to say or think. When I read your letter, my heart nearly stopped, and I thought I would quit breathing. How awful! I wish someone could have helped her; at least if they did, Karla would still at least be alive or have a chance. I am so sorry for your loss! Please do accept my deepest, humblest sympathy wishes on your loss; you are definitely in my prayers!
I wish things could have ended up differently for Karla; she deserved to live! She was a spunky, happy teenager with a warrior's spirit, and she never seemed to let the worst of her problems get her down. That was what I admired most about her: her sense of courage, her good-natured personality, her ever-ready smile. I never saw such a happy child in all my days; I will never forget her, and she will always have a place in my heart (as will you).
I know you must be angry about this. Wyndi, that is understandable. You lost your only child, and you didn't expect to outlive her like this. Sometimes things happen for a reason (they don't often make a lot of sense), but one day, God (or in your case, the Great Spirit) will reveal to us why He let this happen.
I have been angry about things that have happened in my life, but it doesn't do any good to stay mad or angry, so I just gave my cares to the Lord and let Him handle it. That is one less cross for me to bear (and believe me, I have had plenty of crosses to bear during my lifetime!).
Honey, if you need anything in the next few days, please don't hesitate to get in contact with me. I will do anything I possibly can. I will be sending a funeral arrangement, a card, and some cash (you can always use it; you aren't exactly well to do. Don't worry about it, consider it to be a gift of the heart from a friend who cares).
Wyndi, I will go now and see what I can do. Again, please accept our sympathy wishes on your loss; may your Great Spirit give you comfort and peace that passes all understanding in the dark days ahead. Know you aren't alone; know you have friends who will be praying for you.
I love you, my Sweet Native American Sister! Remember that!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tennessee, Louie Mayrah Sandusky. :( >tears!<
