Louisiana tries to offer her friend some encouragement during a very difficult situation.

Saturday, March 17, 2007, 7:30 a.m., D.S.T., Nashville, Tennessee~

Dear Naomi and Micah~

I am stormin' the gates of Heaven, and Bill is on his face, weeping and praying for y'all. I wish there were some answers as to why this happened, but in all of this, remember: God is in control.

Lean on Him for understanding and peace.

Trust me. I know. I have been where you are at many a time; I know the uncertainty, fear, and pain you are facing at the current time. Don't give up hope. When things looked their worst, somehow our kids made it through the valley and emerged intact.

When you called me last night to tell me that Maddie had suffered a Code Blue, my heart fell to my toes. I am still shaking as I write this to you this morning. I hope and pray that Maddie will make it. I am glad that Rebekkah is conscious and is able to hold a conversation with you; that is wonderful news!

However, I am sorry to learn that Rebekkah is paralyzed from her shoulders on down. I don't know what to say or how to tell Johnny when that time comes. It is going to be very, very difficult. I am dreading that day, but I will have to tell him. He has to know sometime!

Ronee' has fired off another letter to you; did you get it? She is also currently writing to Rebekkah. She has been so sad and teary since this happened; we all have. We are suffering right along with you!

Well, dear (((Friend))), I will let you go. Take care, and know if you need anything, you know how to get in touch with us. We'll be here for you in any possible way.

God be with you during this time of fear and uncertainty. NEVER, ever give up hope; He is still in the Miracle-Making Business! :)

(((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))), much love, and continued prayers,

~As always, your friend, Louie May. :(

Let's hope there will be some good from such sad events. How strange it is that the innocent pay the price for the selfish acts of others. Will eagerly wait to read the updates!

Smiles,
Dorothy

Those words alone tell us what kind of people Louie and Bill are. The kind of people that we should all aspire to be.

Karen,

From across the miles, compassion and heartbreak express themselves in painful letter form: well done, Karen. I truly hope that Maddie and Rebekkah make it......

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
