Ronee' writes about her appointment with the child psychiatrist, how her hospitalized brother is doing, her day at school, and other things.

Tuesday, March 27, 2006, 7:41 a.m., D.S.T., Nashville, Tennessee~

Dear Journal~

I am sitting here in the main lobby at school, waiting for the bell to ring. Class starts then; I have homeroom first, then it's off to French.

The appointment didn't go as bad as I had expected. I was afraid Arlene (that's the psychiatritst) would think I was crazy. She said I am normal, that all kids go through these conflicting feelings from time to time. She made it easy for me to talk; I felt like I was talking with a friend, not a doctor. She was very nice, and made me laugh a time or two.

I see Arlene again next week, on Tuesday, at 4 in the afternoon. I see her at the mental health clinic which is by the hospital where maman works.

Well, Johnny comes home tomorrow from the hospital. I have gone and seen him several times; he is looking a lot better. He gave me a bad scare when he had his seizure; I thought for sure he was gonna' die on us. I never want to see that again! It scared the poo poo outta' me!

School has been going well, have had tons of homework. I don't have any problems with that, but at times I'd rather be outside playing with my friends than chained to a book! I don't get teased anymore, which is a nice change of pace. School is suddenly easierr, and I really enjoy it now, now that the kids no longer pick on me.

I think they think back to the time when I used to whack 'em with my sticks; guess the memory (or the pain) is still fresh in their minds. LOL I used to get into so much trouble for doing that, but hey: I had to defend myself somehow! LOL

We are getting ready to add Bjorn to the family; he is as cute as a button. He is blind and deaf; he is a little wild, according to our adoption specialist. He will hopefully settle down once he gets used to us; I hope so. I dread his coming because I think he'll drive us crazy with his wild ways! I am looking forward to his coming to the family; at the same time, however, I am as nervous as a newborn kitten!

I am staying away from the bees; so far, the bees are staying away from me. LOL I hope this continues; don't need any trouble from those little stingers! LOL

Whoops! Gotta' go; bell's fixin' to go *RIIIIIIIIIIIIING*, to start a new day. Will catch ya on the flipside later! Byyyyyyyyyye!

~Luv, Ronee'. :D

I'm glad Ronee is doing better. Perhaps going to talk to someone outside the family is just what she needed! Great write! I love the use of the Journal!!
