Weds., April 4, 2007, Anchoarage, Alaska, in the very early morning~

Dear Journal,

It seems like everyone I know is keeping journals; I guess it's the "in" thing to do. I don't know, but I go on the computer, and I read some of the journals posted. My friends Louie and Bill Sandusky do it, their kids do it, even my friend Sikik Eegeesiak does it. Why shouldn't I be able to do this as well?

I guess it's because it is hard to type with one good working hand. I am giong to give it a shot, it just will take me a while to do this, with the "hunt-and-peck" method of typing this down! LOL Just bear with me is all I ask.

Well, little Mattaq is now a year old. He is not walking on his own yet, but he is cruising everywhere. We have to keep an eye on him before he tears the place apart. We live in a house now, and I don't want him wrecking everything, especially since Michael is at work now! Right now I don't have to worry, as the child is asleep; I can have at least this early morning time to myself!

Guess what. I am pregnant again. Mattaq is going to be a big brother. I am now nearly two months pregnant, according to my doctor. Don't I know it: I am so sick in the mornings, just the thought of eating nauseastes me.

Excuse me; have to go barf again in the toilet; be right back---------

Am back. Sorry about that, but when it hits, it hits me HARD. Stupid morning sickness; I HATE it! GRRR! LOL

Don't know what I am having yet, but if it is a boy, he will be named Q'uuli'aq Matthew, and if it is a girl, I am trying to decide between Raven Skydancer, Aurora Miniq, Alaska Danee', or Naiomi Sikik. Something different, something unique, something totally Alaskan.

Guess I have all the time in the world to figure out what I am going to name the baby if it is a girl.

Michael is still working, but he is no longer in the bartending business. He is now working in a factory, and he is making good money. Meanwhile, I am still on my disability pension; it isn't nearly as much as it was, but I am making enough to get by comfortably. At least I can pay my bills, provide for my family, without too much problems.

My sister Jerrica is here; she just brought me some weak tea to settle my nauseated stomach. I guess I woke her up with my barfing. Well, I don't hear myself, so maybe in a way, being deaf is a good thing?? *grins* Just doing it is disgusting; I don't need to hear it too! LOL

The auroras have been out; it's aurora season. We have seen some mighty spectacular auroras lately; I am never so amazed at the sight of them dancing in the northern sky. They are absolutely beautiful!

For Easter, we are going to church; at my church there's a lady who signs for the deaf members of the congregation, so at least we can follow along what is being said. There's a ministry for the hearing impaired at church, and I have made some wonderful friends; I suddenly don't feel so alone. It's wonderful. There's also a ministry for physically disabled people, and when not at church, we sometimes get together and "shoot the bull", as Michael says. LOL It's great!

After church, we will probably go out to eat, then take Mattaq and my nephews Easter Egg Hunting at the park not too far from our house. Then we will come home and probably crash the rest of the afternoon. ;)

Well, I know this isn't much, but I am getitng sleepy; I am going back to bed. I have that right, you know. The tea I just drank made me sleepy all of a sudden. Take care, and I will write in here again soon. God bless you too!
