Ronee' Le-Anne Reaux is excited: her friend Susie Callaway (and her family) are on their way to Nashville, Tennessee, where they are moving to start a brand new life.

Dear Journal~
Hey! Ronee' here. I am excited: my friend Susie Callaway (used to be Jackson until mom married Rick Callaway; anyway, her new dad got a job transfer to Nashville, Tennessee; as a result, they had to move) and her family are moving to Nashville! We may become neighbors!
I found out about this last week, and I have been a bundle of nerves ever since! I don't know how Susie feels about the move (I bet she is scared to death!), but as for me, I'm ex-ci-TED! I have been wanting to see her again; I miss seeing her!
Susie and her family have been through so much: don't want to go into details, but it all started nearly two years ago when Hurricane Katrina slammed into their Mississippi home, forcing them to evacuate. Seems like they were on the run ever since; they wound up in California, where they were befriended by the Cohen family, and Rebekkah Rachel and Susie hit it off. Now Susie is leaving; Rebekkah must be devastated!!
I know I'd be devastated if I had to pull up ship and leave Nashville: Nashville has been the only home I remember (I know I was born in Louisiana, but I left when I was a tiny little baby); Nashville is where I am happiest at. If it were not for my family, or particularly my mom and dad, I don't know where I'd be.
I hope that daddy or maman don't get transferred to another state. Knowing my luck, I'd end up in a place like Kansas or Nebraska, where there's nothing--excepting for tornadoes! YIKES. LOL
I will have to write to Rebekkah Cohen, try to soothe her injured spirit. She must be broken up about Susie leaving; Susie was probably the first real friend she had (oh, she has me and Johnny, too, but we didn't live in California; we have what's known as a "long distance" friendship). Now she's alone; I wish she'd move to Tennessee: that way she'd be close to Susie, close to me, and close to Johnny. :) That'd be great! :)
Well, I should be doing my schoolwork instead of tappin' away on my computer; teacher's givin' me the evil eye. I'll get in trouble if I don't stop writing! LOL Until later, this is Ronee' saying "Toodles"! (Don't cha just LUV that word?? I do! :D)
This story, as told by Ronee' Le-Anne Reaux about Susie being uprooted by the storm, settling in California, and then, once again, making yet another move is characteristic of the kind of worries most people have when they're not otherwise occupied with other matters.
