Bill writes in his journal while trying to get the troops ready for school. (Mama has already left for work.)

Dear Journal~
Bill here.
I am sitting here in the kitchen, listening to the kids getting ready for school; the older ones are helping out with the littler ones or those who are more disabled. I keep telling them to hush, or they'll wake up the babies.
Not to worry: the kids have already been fed and medicated, so now they're ready to go. They just need to finish getting dressed/primped/getting school supplies/lunches together. That's what is taking the longest.
Mama Louie has since left to go to work; she left before five forty five. She works the six a.m. to three p.m. shift today--that is, if there's enough help. Louie's been doing a lot of doubles lately; not enough nurses to go around, so she's had to cover their shifts as well. It's no wonder she's so tired by the time she gets home!!
Ronee' is still not able to go to school; her hands are all bandaged up; she's having a very hard time coping with not being able to do anything for herself. Maybe by next week she will, but now she's grounded like a plane in fog. LOL Ronee' is feeling a little better; however, she still can't do anything, so we have to do everything for her until the bandages are taken off, until her hands heal some more.
Maybe by then Ronee' can return to school; she sure does miss it!!
The good news is there's no infection or bleeding; but her hands look all painful with all the stitches, bruising, and swelling. She looks like she went through a few rounds with Muhammed Ali or George Foreman--and she lost. LOL Ronee' is not very happy right now.
Johnny is getting used to his trache; however, he hates the suctioning, and he hates not being able to talk other than using sign language. We keep telling him that once his throat heals he will be able to talk, like his older brother, Richard, who has had a trache for years--and manages very well, thank you.
Johnny is able to breathe better, so that's a huge answer to prayer. He no longer has the oxygen prongs stuck in his nose, and his color is much improved; that is a huge relief for all of us!
If he has any trouble, we can put the mask next to his neck hole, and then call for an ambulance if necessary; it's still an iffy thing with him.
The twins have been fed; they are now in their crib, sleeping like--well, babies! LOL They look so cute; once in a while, they'll twitch, purse their lips as if they're sucking on a bottle, or screw their faces up tight. It's adorable! Such sweet innocence in small packages; it's a wonder something that small can make so much noise!! WOW!! LOL
Well, you probably heard about what's happened to Naomi Cohen. She had some sort of virus or something attack her spinal column; she's now a quadriplegic, unable to move her arms or her legs, and can't talk above a whisper. I know it's hard for Micah and the children; we have been lifting her up in prayer here and at church. Naomi's doing a little better, but she's still not out of the woods; she faces a very lengthy recovery.
I don't know why bad things keep happening to her. It's like Satan is attacking her, her family, and I wish he'd quit it! He's tried to attack our family, too, but we are fighting back with the blood of Jesus Christ, and so far it appears we are on the winning side. Let's hope so; we've had enough tragedy; we don't need any more for a while! (Or not at all!!)
I am off work today. Guess that means it's just me and the babies (as well as Ronee' and Emir) until the rest of the troops get back from school.
I might as well enjoy the peace, the quiet, while Ian and Isaiah sleep...whoops! There's the buses! Might as well get the troops movin'! Will write in here again soon; take care and God bless!
I have occasionally tried to put myself in Bill's shoes...
No way Josè, I can imagine how after all that happened still have a rest of energy on that barrel.
Go Bill!!!!!
Georg
