As I mentioned in part one I am disabled, and am an adopted child. I also mentioned that I'm in 4th grade and that I'm in the Gifted/Talented program at my school. I also mentioned about my desire to become a c/w star and be a member of the Grand Ole Opry.
I am going to write about my family now.
My mama's name is Louisiana Sandusky. She's a nurse at Nashville Memorial Hospital, and she is very good at her job. (In fact, she's the "charge" nurse.) My daddy's name is William, but people call him "Bill." He works at Wal*Mart as a "greeter." My parents are opposite of each other when it comes to height: mama is only 4'7" tall, but daddy is 6'9"!! They look pretty funny standing next to one another; people are ALWAYS staring at them!!
If THAT wasn't bad enough, take us kids. There's 50 of us. Yes, that's right: 50. There's l5 boys and 35 girls in my family, which makes for a HUGE house with LOTS of rooms--not to mention, a LOT of noise!! All of us kids were adopted by mama and daddy:
they wanted a big family. They just didn't adopt ANY old kid--they adopted kids who are called "special-needs." "Special-needs" kids are harder to adopt because they are older, or they may be handicapped (like me), or they may be part of a sibling group that can't be separated. Or they may be black (or pink, or purple--whatever) or have different races in their background. Like me. I am mostly Cajun French, but I also have quite a bit of Native American Indian (Cherokee) and African-American in my background. I also have some Spanish and Irish in me. (Talk about a "mixed-up" kid!!)
I really love my family, especially maman. (That's what I call her. "Maman" is French for "Mommy.") I especially love them because they all take care of me when I am sick or visit me when I go into the hospital. And besides--they are saved. ALL of them!! (Daddy was the first to accept Jesus as Saviour, and I was next. The rest of the family eventually followed, thanks to daddy's and my praying. See? God DOES answer prayers!!) We go to Christ Community Assembly of God Church. We go every week, on Sunday and Wednesday (although my older sister, Steffi, doesn't; she works weekends at the Golden Corral, which is our favorite place to eat!).
So there you have it. My autobiography.
This autobiography was a homework assignment given to us by Mrs. Hemingway. She will read the best ones to the rest of the class--and will, eventually, put them up on the bulletin board for others to read.
