Bill writes in his journal while the littlest children are asleep. (The other children have left for school.)

Monday, April 7, 2008, 7:35 a.m., D.S.T., Nashville, TN~

Dear Journal~

Bill here.  It's quiet, peaceful, so I thought while the babies (plus Emir) are still asleep, I'd write.

The other children have since left for school; they left not even fifteen minutes ago.  Through all the noise, confusion, the babies slept; they must have been tired...LOL

Yesterday was a wonderful day: Sundays usually are at our house.  We got up early, got ready for church, left the house by seven fifteen to go eat breakfast (Denny's).  We then  headed over to church, where we had a wonderful time in the Lord.  It was a very anointed service, and yesterday, little Holbrook Evans was healed of cancer.

We all cried when we realized what had happened.  Now all we wait for is the confirmation from the baby's doctor, to make sure it is a legitimate healing; if it is, we will certainly celebrate, right along with the little boy's family!

God is still in the miracle-making business! :)

The weather is absolutely beautiful out: sunny, cool, breezy, just perfect springtime weather.  We may get some rain by the weekend, even a chance of severe.  The last round of severe weather we had wasn't too bad in this neck of the woods, as Al Roker on Today says. :) (Thank GOD!)

Saturday at work we had some excitement:  a car drove through the entrance of Wal*Mart, the one where I happen to work.  Turns out the person behind the wheel had a seizure or stroke.  He's now in the hospital.  Front wall is busted, glass all over.  Can't work until the damage has been repaired; may take a few weeks.  So right now I'm (temporarily) without a job.  NICE.

Louie's at work now; don't expect her to come home until 3-4 (if she does; she's been working lots of double shifts lately).  I don't expect her home until sometime this evening.

At least there's some money coming in...I always worry what's going to happen if either one of us should happen to find ourselves jobless.  It's one of our biggest fears, especially with the way the economy is today.

We spend scads of money to fill our van, even my little Bug eats up my money whenever I fill it.  With gas costing over $3 per gallon, it puts a huge hole in our pocketbooks.  And the cost of foodstuffs: it keeps going up too: milk costs over $4 a gallon, and veggies--prices through the roof.  Meat, too.

The only food that's (halfway) decent or cheap is junk food.  Figures: the stuff that's good for you is expensive while the bad foods are (reasonably) priced.  Then people wonder why there's a huge problem with obesity in this nation! CRAZY!!

I'm just glad we're not looking for a house, with the housing market being the way it is!  Every day we hear of more and more houses being foreclosed, which means more and more people on the streets or looking for a new place to live...

Our nation has gotten into a very bad state affairs; I cringe to think of what the future holds for our once great nation!

I also cringe when I think of the choices for President.  None of them seem capable, but if I had to pick one, it would probably be John McCain.  Or maybe Hillary Clinton; I just don't trust Barack Obama!  Something about him just sets my teeth, nerves on edge!

Well, I hear Emir calling for mama, and I'm sure Ian and Cameron won't be far behind in waking up.  I will go now; will write in here again another day.  Until later, take care, and may God bless you mightily!

~Bill. :)

I know how it feels to fill up a 15 passenger van and watch money go right down the gas pipe! It is over $100 to fill it up now! OUCH!

Hey Bill, one is for Universal Health Care, the other for Hundred Years more over "there" (whatever that is) the third one...I agree, don't eat green fruit or you gonna get the runs.

And that is wonderful news!

Bill's journal sounds much like what I'd write--especially about my choice of president. I hope this great nation can stand beneath the weak leaders ruling it.
