Ronee' did not make it at her audition. As you can imagine, she's disappointed.

Friday, June 20, 2008, Las Vegas, Nevada~

Dear Journal~

Ronee' here.  Hope this finds you well.

Me, I could be better:  nope, not sick, but nursing a crushed conscience.  Got rejected by the judges at AGT tryouts; pitch problems at the end, nerves got a hold of me again.

I tried so hard; really, I did; but when I saw Piers, bu-GAWK!!  There went the nerves.  That's when I screwed up.  I knew I'd blown it; didn't need to have anyone tell me twice.

I am disappointed; who wouldn't be??  I do have to realize that this isn't the end of the world.  Guess it means that I'm not supposed to be famous.  Yet.

Not giving up.  Just a temporary setback.

Maybe it's because I'm too country, too traditional.  I don't know, but that's what I like to sing.  Oh, I sing the new country, too, as well as rock and rap, even gospel, but I prefer traditional country over all musical genres.

Or maybe it's because I'm not a snob, I'm too nice.  I guess nice doesn't mean much in this world; that's pretty sad, if you think about it.  In any event, I didn't make it.  My journey is over; I go back home on Saturday, back to my family.

I did see Terry Fator yesterday; he was good!  He won "America's Got Talent" last year; he was funny!  I never knew he was so talented at doing all those different voices--Roy Orbison, Garth Brooks, Tony Bennett, Kermit-the-Frog--too many to list.  I got to meet him; he was sorry about my audition, but I did get to get my picture made with him, and got his autograph; it was worth it.

Terry told me to keep on singing, maybe one day he'd hear me in concert.  That made me feel a litle better.  He was very nice!

Today we are just relaxing, daddy and me.  Maybe we'll go swimming later, or maybe a movie that we can both see (like "Kit Kittridge, American Girl", starring Abigail Breslin; that looks like something I'd enjoy!), or maybe catch some grub.  It's an easy day.  Tomorrow, too--that is, until we have to pack up for our trip back to Tennessee on Saturday afternoon.

I am enjoying being a lazy slug; however, my joy is tempered by sadness over my audition.  I could have done better; I know I could.  It's just when those big ones come calling, I lose it, and I mess up, every time.  Very annoying, that!!

Well, I am going to go now; going to hit the pool within the hour.  I will write again, probably after I get back to Nashville; I know my family will want to hear of my adventures (such as they were LOL).  Until then, take care and God bless; this is Ronee' signing off!

~Luv, your gal pal, Ronee' Le-Anne Reaux. :(
