Dear Journal~

"Cajun" here.  I don't know how Humans can stand the heat Outside.  I look at the heat shimmering off the pavement, see the sweaty Humans running around Outside, and I think my Fur is about to fall off!  It's HAWT!!!!

I am lying in Air Conditioned Comfort in MyRonee' 's room, stretched out full length on her bed.  Ahhh, such bliss!  Oh, if only Humans can take a Hint from me, manage to stay Indoors when it's this hot outside!!

I tell ya, Humans are soooo stupid!! Even MyRonee' is out there, in the Pool.  At least she has the right idea to try to keep cool; I'm not so sure about the others, though.  I wouldn't be surprised if JohnnyCakes ends up with another nasty sunburn; he must be going to get one because he's turning mighty pink now!

I'll be soo glad when the cooler time called Fall comes; I can use a break from this heat!!  I'm a Cat; I can't just unzip, take my Fur off!!  My Fur is attached to me, stuck on like SuperGlue!!  Only time it comes off is if I shed!!  (And I'm starting to get into the Shedding Period; I always shed worst in the later Summer or in the Spring.)

I'll leave my Fur all over the place.  And my Humans (excepting MyRonee') will probably get mad at me for making a mess.  I can't help it.  I'm a Cat.  Cats shed.  End of statement!

If that stupid Dawg "Cajun Gold" comes sniffin' me one more time, I'm going to have to take drastic action.  It's a wonder I have a butt left, the way she goes at it!!  Is she trying to tell me I smell??  I'm probably cleaner than she'll ever be; I've seen her roll around in the garbage, and there's no telling WHAT'S been in there!!  Sometimes she stinks to high heaven!!

I always enjoy it when she gets a bath because she whines, raises a huge Fuss, like she's getting killed.  It's hilarious!! LOL  I can't help BUT laugh when I see her getting what she deserves!!  What a dumb Dog she is!!  Goodness!!

Well, I heard the Back Door slam; guess one of the Humans came in.  Maybe it's time for me to eat; it's getting to that time where it won't be long for my Supper!!  Gotta act cute so I can get my treats!  Take care, and see ya around!  Meowww!
