Dear Journal~
Louisiana here. Thought I'd write in here what the Lord has put upon my heart; somehow He feels it will help me deal with what's going on by writing it down. I am not one to argue with someone like the Lord, so I must do what the Holy Spirit tells me to do.
Just when I think I have it good, I hear of other people who have it far worse than me, and it is these people I must think about, lift up in prayer today. There's so many hurting people in the world, and my heart breaks for them.
Case in point: Susie Callaway. She's in the hospital again; she was attacked last week by a crazed madman, and now she's recovering from painful surgery. She suffered a punctured lung, cracked ribs, a fractured pelvis, and only God knows what else. She's probably knocked out in Intensive Care, where she can be closely watched, monitored.
Audrey called me the other day to tell me the news; she was in tears. At the news, my heart broke; it still grieves for what's happened to not only Susie, but the entire family. It's like Satan is attacking them, and I must put on my full armour of God, pray for a spiritual victory in their lives.
I have been on my face in prayer ever since, crying out to God to spare them, asking for His divine intervention, protection upon that family and their home. I don't know when I've prayed so much, or so hard!!
It's been a difficult past few days for me. Work not so much, family not so much, it's just I'm worried over Susie. If she should die I don't know what Audrey would do; I don't know what I would do! I love that young lady so much!!
On to other news:
Fall has definitely arrived here in Music City. The trees are near their peak; they are ablaze with color, and the air has cooled considerably; some nights have been downright chilly. We've had to put the heat on a few mornings, that's how cold it got at night. Time to break out the woolies, time to put the fireplace back into good use! Yes, summer has definitely left for another year!
I keep watching the news; I am growing more and more disconcerted with each passing day, what with the financial crisis our nation's facing, the outsourcing of more jobs overseas, putting more and more people out of work, all the mudslinging going on in the campaign for Presidency (if I hear one more thing about Barack Osama I just might toss my cookies; that man continues to scare me!!), the ever rising prices of everything (excepting for the paychecks!): I tell you, the world is in one mell of a hess!!
It won't be long before Jesus Christ comes back to take His children home to be in Glory; all the signs are starting to play themselves out, and it's like He can't come back fast enough!
What a glorious day that's going to be! I will be caught up in the skies, see Him face to Face, and we will all have new bodies, a new home, in Eternity, forever and ever!! I will see my dear, sweet maman again, I will see my babies again, and I will see other long, lost relatives who've gone home before me. It will be like the Family Reunion to end all family reunions, and this time there will be no sadness or tears!!
I am busier than ever, trying to get the word out to people about Jesus, lifting them up in prayer if they have lost family members or friends (or if they're lost themselves), and praying that they "see the light" before it is too late. Church consumes a lot of my time, as does family, home, writing, work. It seems I never sleep as much as I need to; it's no wonder I'm so chronically tired all of the time!!
Well, I am going to go; phone's ringing again, and the kids are rising to start the day. This may be the only time I get to sit down all day; might as well enjoy it while I still can; once I get up, I might not get the opportunity to sit back down until I crawl into my bed tonight! Take care and may God bless you mightily!
~Love, your friend, Louie May. :)
