Johnathon has just gotten an e-mail from his girlfriend, who wants to be his steady. Naturally, this pleases him very much. He writes this e-mail on the way to school, while riding the bus.

Monday, December 15, 2008, Nashville, Tn., 7:21 a.m., C.S.T.~

Dear Rebekkah Rachel!

Hey, sweetie! Thank you so much for writing; your letter made my day; no, it made my year!!!! So you want to hook back up with me, eh? Well, I gladly accept you as my girl! :)

This is too cool!! Christmas is definitely the season for miracles!!!!

We had our first Cantata yesterday (all three services); it went amazingly well, but during the second service, my hearing aids quit working; I had to have help signing. It was embarrassing; however, I didn't mess up too bad, thank goodness! Thank GOD I have backup hearing aids; otherwise, I would have been in a pickle! :P

We have our second round of Cantatas this coming weekend, and again on Christmas Eve. Hopefully they'll go just as well, and hopefully my hearing aids won't act up again! They're expensive enough; I HATE it when they go on the fritz! GRRR!!

This is when I wish I could hear like normal people, so I won't have to put up with technology in order to hear better!!

Family is well; glad to hear yours is doing good. That's cool you might be getting a new brother or sister from Mumbai, India! My sister, Jameela (she's fourteen now), came from there; mama and dad adopted her when she was, like, five. She has spina bifida; she did use crutches, but now mainly uses her wheelchair for mobility. She's doing great!

In any event, congratulations!

Well, I'm at the school grounds, so regrettably, I must go. I will write again later; until then, take care, and know I love you so much! May you have a great day, and above all, Merry CHRISTmas; may it be your best Christmas EVER!! (I know it will be for me: I have YOU as my girl!! :) )

Sometimes, when in the big city with an awful traffic and no parking spaces but on the church's roof, I travel by subway and entertain myself writing about people of places names. I said writing in this age of telephone messages and computers, but nothing beats a pencil and a piece of paper. Goin steady demands that the gentleman come with flowers to thir next meeting, just a small token of love. (you will make her day...or year) Georg
