Howdy! This is me, Casey Dawn Hackberry! I am sorry if I haven't been writing in here; have been busy!
I also had some minor surgery on my face. Some more cysts popped up; nothing major, but enough to need surgery, get them taken out. (Thankfully no cancer; that's a huge relief!!) I'm feeling better; not in as much pain as I was.
Hurts a little now, but nothing like it did.
Mama's getting big in her belly. As you know from the last journal entry, I told you she's having a baby. (We find out next week if it's a boy or a girl. I personally hope it's a girl; mama wants a boy, "to even things out", she says.) I'm so excited that I'm going to have a brother or a sister; I will no longer be an only child!!
I pray, hope everything goes well! I've been praying to God like crazy!
Church is going well. I love Pastor Eleazar; he's sooo cool! He is originally from Africa, and he has the prettiest way of speaking! And children's church is hummin' along, too! I look forward to church every week! (I go on Sundays and on Wednesdays.)
The weather is warming up; the days are getting longer, and the flowers and trees are starting to bloom. The air smells sweet, and the birds are singing. Just this morning, a mockingbird woke me up; he must have been sitting right outside my bedroom window, singing his sweet song. What a beautiful song Mr. Mockingbird sings!
A nice way to wake up, for sure! Maybe I can ask mama if I can catch Mr. Mockingbird, make him a pet. That way, he can sing to me anytime! :)
A week from today is Easter. That means I get to wear my pretty new Easter dress we got the other day. I will also wear my new tights and shoes, and my hair ribbons. I will look very pretty. And after church that morning, we are going to go out to eat and have an Easter egg hunt at the park not far from where we live. I love Easter time; I can get all the chocolate bunnies and peeps I can eat! :) Yum!!
That day my grandpa from Mississippi, Grandpa Charles, will be with us (he's coming in on Friday), so it will be a good time. I love my grandpa Charlie; he always finds ways to make me laugh, and he calls me his special girl!
Well, I am going to get ready to go to church, so I will run along. I also have to have breakfast and take a bath, as well as wash my hair. I want to be clean for church! :) I will write in here again soon; hopefully by then, I will find out whether I'm getting a little brother or sister! Take care, and may God bless you! Bye for now!
