Sari Constantinos in Finland updates us on what's been going on in her life.

Ivalo, Finland, 23 March, 2009~

Dear Journal~

Terve!  Miita kuuluu?  Kiitos hyvaa!

Sari here.  Sorry if I have not written; between trying to deal with my (unpredictable) health issues, raising three children all under the age of four, and taking care of my husband, I just don't have much free time to myself.  I hope you understand.

The weather is finally starting to break here in Finland.  Whilest it is still cold here, the days are getting longer, and the aurora borealis is starting to become more frequent; this is the time when auroras are the most active (the other time is in the fall, though they can occur any time of the year).

The first flowers are trying to come up; they just haven't made their minds up yet.  LOL

I haven't really been doing much other than taking care of my family or going to my doctors' appointments (or therapy).  I have been trying to get caught up with visiting friends or my brothers, but have failed miserably.  They must think I've died by now.  LOL

I am not dead:  in fact, I am very much alive.  Or I wouldn't be writing in here!  LOL  (Silly Sari!  LOL)

The other day Erick fell, split his chin open.  It terrified me when I saw all that blood; we rushed him to hospital, where he got ten stitches to close the wound on his chin.  Oh, how he screamed!  It scared me so bad; I'm now afraid to leave his side, for fear he will fall again or hurt himself even worse!

Then Birtta got her hand caught in the door, pinched three of her fingers.  Her fingers are now swollen and bruised; she cried a lot too.  I am dreading the time when our youngest, Ilsa, will get to that age; I'm scared she will end up getting hurt, too.

We took Birtta to the emergent clinic; she wasn't badly hurt, just scared was all.  We were relieved that it wasn't any worse; still, when a parent hears their child scream like they are being killed, it's hard not to worry!

The incident with Birtta happened a week ago this coming Thursday.  Erick got injured two days ago.  Too much excitement for me to handle; my health's suffered terribly because of the stress!  I've been using my wheelchair more, and my fibromyalgia pain has really been making itself known!  I'm so sore it's not funny!

I could use a break from all of this excitement (not to mention, pain)!!

Well, I am going to run along now.  Birtta is calling me; she says Erick had an accident in his diaper.  Lovely!  I will write in here when I can; hopefully I won't wait as long next time!  Until then, this is Sari saying Nakemiin for now; take care and God bless!

~Love, your Finnish friend, Sari Annike.  :)

Here in Sweden the Spring is undecided, like a groundhog just a little peak and wham the Winter still here.
Catching your fingers just in the nail part can give you a unbelievable pain for such a little zone. Once I kind of caught my thumb nail on a taxi door, oh boy!

I liked this, Karen, but there does seem to be a lot of pain
going around in Finland. Must have something to do with all
that Aurora Borealis. To quote Sari: lol. -gene.

Karen I love Saris character, thank you for sharing, ouch the accidents sound painful, I hate to see when a kid gets hurt, sadly a friends nephew fell three stories from an apt window the other day, but for the grace of God, he is still with us, but in serious condition! Prayers would be appreciated
