Dear Rebekkah Rachel~

I am glad you have forgiven me.  You don't know how much that means to me!  I have been a real bete un cabage lately.  I don't know if it's because of medicine head, my general health, or what, but something's screwed up my mind!  Or maybe it's just nerves!  Who knows?  I did act irrationally, though, and it was totally uncalled for!

Yep, this is me, Johnny, your handsome stud of a boyfriend.  :)  I am doing okay; however, I still face counseling next week, and I am nervous about that!  Hopefully it won't be as bad as I think it might.  I have to look at this as a way to help me deal with my sucky health or my emotions; maybe it will help me get a better grip on both.

One can only hope!  :)  Just say a prayer for me, that I get through it!  I'd appreciate it greatly!

On Monday, Ronee' and daddy leave for Las Vegas.  Ronee' is trying out for a chance to make it on "America's Got Talent".  She has been practicing hard; so much, in fact, I hear Cajun music, even after I have fallen asleep!  Seems I can't get that danged accordion music out of  my head!!  It's about to drive me inSANE!!

Wish her luck; I'm already crossing my fingers and my toes (or trying to; that's not an easy feat with muscular dystrophy)!  LOLOLOL

Tuesday I will be watching "AGT", in the hopes of seeing my sister on there.  If I do, I'll be sooo happy!  I know she'll be nervous; I'm nervous, too, just thinking about it!!

Maybe I need to bone up, read more on the Holocaust, see what they did to the Jewish people, or maybe see a movie about it.  It may not be what I want to see, but maybe it will make me realize the insensitivity behind my comment of last week, when you got so angry with me (and rightfully so!).  I just don't understand it because it happened so long ago, yet you lost relatives in it, so that is why you don't like thinking about it.

Maybe I need to understand it, or at least let you make me see why it is so important to you and your family (or the Jewish people, in general).  I can't believe that someone that evil would want to do something like this!  Because of hate, over 6 million innocent people were senselessly slaughtered; it changed the world as we know it, and we still feel its repercussions years later!

Well, on to other news:  it's sure been stormy here as of late, hasn't it?  We didn't have power for about an hour; we had to go get new juice for our generator, because it tried to croak.  We have to have the generator because some of the kids rely on feeding tubes or oxygen (me, included!!); we need the power in order for our equipment to work!  It was very interesting having daddy use that Ambu bag on me, until the power could be restored.  That was not fun!!

I kept praying I wouldn't pass out or quit breathing.  Thank God I never did, but I did get terribly dizzy!!

Yeah, I'm on a vent now.  Got that put in last week.  It's annoying as all get out because it's bulky, and it takes time to load it up into the van or get it going or set in the right position.  Another danged sign that my lovely disease is rearing its ugly head.  I'm trying to learn to talk between breaths of the vent, and it's tricky, but with God's help, I'll learn how to do it. And then when I do, mama will wish that I could shut the hell up!  LOL  (She says I talk too much now!  LOLOLOL)

The worst part about it (besides having to put up with power failures and Ambu bags, that is) is when I have to get suctioned.  That hurts!!  I HATE it!!  I'm practically punching my mom or dad when they do this, and I feel like they're torturing me!  I have to have this done several times a day, to help me cough, and it's a giant pain in my behind!!!!

How are Maddie and Holly doing?  Tell them I say howdy and that I am still praying for them!  How is your mom?  How's Kendra?  Hope everyone is well there! 

We are doing good here; we're getting ready for the city's annual Red, White, And BOOM! Festival; Ronee' and I are performing (me, and my vent!  NICE!); hopefully we'll see ya there!  It wouldn't be the same without you!!  :)  I'm getting excited; I love the Fourth of July, and I especially love the fireworks!!  They're awesome!!!!

Well, it's about time for us to eat now, so I am going to put this to bed.  I will write to you again soon; until then, or until I see you again, take care, and may God bless you!  I love you more than Niagara Falls!

A great write Karen, Rebekka Rachel will be responding sometime in the not so distant future, for a Holocaust movied I would recomend the boy in the Striped Pajamas, Amber and I have that movie and its powerful

Karen, the words you write, though, I imagine to be fiction, can only come from the pained heart of one that goes through pain and sadness. Yet, much as I also imagine you to be, there is hard hope for things to improve, at least hope that this day will be better than the day before. I feel what you write.
