Little Colton Ramey, aged five, updates us on what has been going on in his life. He and his family have since moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where they are trying to jumpstart their career in bluegrass music.

Dear Journal~
Colton Ramey here. Thought I'd drop in, let y'all know how I've been!
We no longer live in Kentucky: we now live in Nashville, Tennessee. We moved here back in May; it's been a big change for all of us. The reason we moved here is because we are trying to make a name for ourselves; we want to become famous, especially in bluegrass music.
We still have our band; however, daddy lost his job back in Kentucky. Money got short, and he couldn't pay the bills, so we had to move. It was hard saying goodbye to all of my Kentucky friends and my cousins; I cried and cried!
It's pretty here in Nashville, but it's not Kentucky. It's much bigger, and much noisier, for one thing. I'm not sure I like it; I miss the green mountains and the sound of the river by our house. I also miss the birds singing and playing with my cousins, especially Shorty. He was a lot of fun! I loved him; still do!
Maybe I will meet some new friends here. I hope so; I hate being the new kid and not knowing anybody here! I will also be starting a brand new school, and I will be teased; I just know it!!
Suddenly, I don't want to go to school: I'd much druther stay home and play with my family!
Well, I just made myself cry again, so I will go now. I am going to bed; it's bedtime for little bluegrassers like me. Bye; talk to you later! Love you! God bless!
