"We just went on the cruise to get away from our children! LOL"

Jenna Aurora Doucet has recovered from her "sea legs". She and her husband went on a cruise to Mexico recently.

Dear Journal~

Howdy from the Far Northland!  It's me, Jenna Aurora Doucet, writing!  Hope this finds y'all well!

I am happy to say that Michael and I have both recovered from our "sea legs".  We had a most wonderful time on our Mexican cruise; we are still talking about it over a month and a half later.

The kids love the books, toys, and shirts we got them; however, I am having a hard time trying to convince Mattaq that maracas aren't for hitting little brothers.  More than once, Kenai has come to me, crying his head off, signing to me that his brother keeps bashing him on the noggin.  *Sighhh*

I am still fairly tan from my cruise, but know in time it will fade.

I'm ready for another cruise!  LOL

They spoiled us rotten there!  Massages to die for.  Drinks and food being handed to you everytime you turn your head.  Laying on the beach at Cozumel and Playa del Carmen.  Enjoying time away from the children; being held by my lover (Michael, of course!).  *Sigghhh*

The weather was stunning in Mexico:  sunny most days, hot, with temperatures in the 80-90 degree range.  Cool oceanic breezes skimming off the pristine aqua-colored waters.

Meeting other travelers from all over the world who wanted to get away from life's demands or celebrating special events:  birthdays.  Anniversaries.  The adoption of children.  A son or daughter's graduation or wedding.  The birth of a new child or grandchild.  People had many reasons to celebrate by going on the cruise along with Michael and myself.

We just went on the cruise to get away from our children!  LOL

Seriously, we love Mattaq and Kenai; we just needed some "adult-time" for ourselves.

When you're home all day with small, active children, sometimes you need a break.

Michael was teasing me, saying that the children's noise was driving me bats.  Hmmm.  Don't see how:  I'm deaf!  LOL

It's just that they're.  So.  Active!!  Can't turn my back on them for one second without one of them getitng into mischief!  Seems that Mattaq is the ringleader; he's always antagonizing his little brother!

Michael is doing well: still working hard at his bartendering; meanwhile, I play the role of the sweet little homemaker.  LOL  It's a job I love, even when the kids drive the little mama up the wall!  LOL

The weather here has been nasty lately:  lots of rain.  And wind.  Doesn't help my fibromyalgia any.  Some days it's all I can do to get out of bed without wanting to scream in agony!  And it's hard to run the show with one good working side or having MS on top of the fibro!  *Groan!*

Some days I am not very fast, and I've fallen more than I care to admit!  I have bruises on top of bruises!  *OW*

That feels good.  NOT!!

Looks like someone's been using me as a punching bag!

Well, that darn light is flashing, which can only mean one thing:  one of the kids is up.  It's flashing from Mattaq's room, so it must be him.  I will see what he needs.  I will write in here again soon; until then, so long!  God bless and have a good day!

~Love, your friend in Alaska, Jenna Aurora.  :)
