Dear Journal~

Farmer Johnathon here to harvest some fun while I still can.  *grins*

A little "festival humor" here ... very little!  LOL

I am having a ball, to say the very least.  Right now I am watching (okay, listening) to the MacGruders southern gospel group; they are quite good.  I'd much rather type in my journal, so you can see what I'm up to.  :)  Diggin' up some fun at church at our Harvest Festival, which started a little over four hours ago!  *grins*

The weather, however, ain't no bag of treats.  It's more like a bag of tricks.  While it ain't no downpour, the fact is, it's still raining out, and there's going to be a lot of dampish people in the audience, and when the umbrellas go up full force, there'll be some witches (or warlocks) complaining that they can't see the performers on the main stage!  LOL

The people'd much rather look at the performers, not look at a bunch of multi colored flowers in the guise of umbrellas!  LOLOLOL

Tomorrow the action really gets cranking, especially since the rain is supposed to be out of here by morning time (like early); by the time the festival reopens at nine, it should be clear skies (and abundant sunshine) all the way!  Severe clear, as they say in the wx (weather) business!  :)

It's gonna be perfect!!!!  You couldn't ask for better festival (Hallowe'en) weather!!!!  The crowd will be out tomorrow in droves, the way people are talking!

Tomorrow my family and myself will be part of the entertainment lineup.  We get on the stage at 12 noon until 1; we will be singing some of our very favorite southern gospel songs (and also do some country and Cajun), and maybe some rock or rap, to really ignite the crowd.  (I won't be doing much in the way of singing, but I will be signing to the deaf members of the audience, so they know what we're saying, so they don't get left out.  I'm very fluent in sign language; have done it since I can remember, especially since I am quite deaf myself.  :)  That way, if I ever lose my ability to speak, I can have a back up plan.  Pretty smart, hunh??  :) )

My sister, the spider (aka Ronee' Le-Anne Reaux and her band, "Cajun Spice"), will do their thing immediately after us; they perform from 1:00 until 2.  They will do Cajun, zydeco, traditional country, southern gospel, rock, rap, and rhythm and blues.  Soon the audience will really see if spiders really "do have talent" (which, in this case, this one does; nobody'd better squash THIS spider, 'cause this spider's my sister!!  LOL)!

About an hour after we got here, I tried my hand at winning one of those giant stuffed animals in one of those games of chance.  *Buzz, buzz, buzz!*  I didn't have a chance.  Missed the target by a country mile.  Not even close!  I think the last ball I threw sailed clear to Dallas-Fort Worth in Texas!  LOLOLOLOL  I was not amused!!

My sister did worse:  she threw the ball backwards:  beaned Pastor Bilkey right in the eye.  So now Pastor's walking around with a shiner!  LOL  Happy Hallowe'en, Pastor Bilkey!  Ya just got *TRICKED* big time by my lovely sister, Ronee'!  LOLOLOL  (She'll never get a starting line up as pitcher for the New York Yankees!!  LOLOLOL)

Is this when you cry "FOUL ball?"  Or better yet, "wild pitch"??  Or "Error"??  LOL

Didn't know you were listening to a comedian, did you?  I can be pretty funny when the time calls for it.  And right now I am pretty funny, if I do say so myself!  Sometimes I kill myself, I'm so funny!  LOL  (I should be doin' my own headline show in Las Vegas, Nevada!  LOL)

Maman's lookin' daggers at me; she keeps wondering why I am snorting with laughter.  Well, I can't help it.  Just read what I wrote, and I slay myself!  LOL

I think I'm getting a buzz from all the candy I've snarfed down since coming here to church.  I'm wired for sound!  LOL  Sugar rush extreme!!  All those Snickerdoodles, Sweet Treats (sweet, my foot:  they should be called SOUR Treats!), Baby Ruths, Tootsie Rolls, and JuJu Beans!  LOL

I even had a War Head.  Lemon. 

NEVER again!! 

Thought my face was gonna go inside out and backwards, it was so sour!  *UCH!*  NAAASty AIN'T the word!!  It was nothin' short of disGUSting!!  I had to drink a million Cokes just to get rid of the foul taste that permeated my taste buds!  LOL

Well, it looks like the concert's about to end:  the big finale is coming up, so I'd best be ready for it, so I can clap after the MacGruders are done singing.  I will go; I will write in here probably Sunday after church or early next week, so I can let you know how the rest of the festival went.  I will talk to you again soon; until later, this is Farmer Johnathon fixin' to milk the cows and get 'em in the barn for the night.  God bless and please take care of yourself; have a wonderfully fun, shivery, safe, spookTACular Howl-O-We'en!  BOOOOOO!!!!!!!
