Dear Journal~

Johnathon here.  Hope this finds you well; as for me, I'm doing as good as I can be expected for the shape I'm in.  LOL  I wish I could get by one journal entry without mentioning my health, but at times that seems impossible, especially since I am reminded of it each and every day!  Grrrr!

Oh, well.  At least it's better than the alternative:  pushing up daisies!  :)  I'm very thankful to be alive!!  Indeed! 

Each breath I take, each day I wake up is a gift from God!  He must not be through with me just yet; that's why I'm still around!  :)

I am loving my new computer I got for Christmas!  It makes the print much larger so I can see what I am doing, and it is also voice activated, so I can hear what I am typing.  It's really cool! 

I have a very long weekend off from school:  was off yesterday and am off today (thanks to an unexpected blizzard we got; we got dumped on; over a foot and a half of snow!!), and on Monday, there's no school because it's a teacher's "in-service" day.  The teachers get to go to school; as for the kids, they're off for the day!  Whee!  I will have so much free time on my hands I won't know what to do with myself!  Whee!! 

Mama got home from work just a little while ago; she said the roads are still dangerous, and she had a time trying to get up our driveway (it's on a hill).  She made it though; she was never so glad to get into the house!!  I am glad she's home too; I worry about her when the weather gets bad!

As for daddy, he didn't even bother:  he's on crutches.  Crutches and ice/snow do NOT mix!!  (Neither do wheelchairs.  Trust me; I know about that one!!)

I just got up at two o'clock, and in an hour it will be getting dark already.  Slept a good part of the day in.  Well, I didn't have school, so I had that right!  :)  I'm a growing boy; I need my sleep!  LOL

I would love to go to the mall; some of my Christmas money is buring a hole in my pocket.  I would love to get some new flannel shirts or maybe some new books-on-tape; I've listened to all the ones I already have!  I'd also love to get an early Valentine's present for my girl, Rebekkah!

I am so jealous of Ronee':  her science class was recently studying meteorology, and they were suposed to have a real-life storm chaser come in and talk to her class about severe weather (but didn't, as school was cancelled).  They could have just asked me; after all, I've gone on a couple chases myself, and I'm only a kid!!  I have all the scoop on severe weather; I know all there is to know about that stuff!  :)

Maybe when that chaser does come, maybe I can ditch one of my classes and sneak over there, so I can listen in on the fun!  Whee!!

I wish mama could let me join YouTube:  I have some videos of chases I've went on (that was before my health went pffft!!); I'd love to be able to post them and share them with other YouTubers!  (Mama won't let us join because there's bad stuff on there, but I'm sure not all of YouTube is bad!!)

Guess that's why I'm on Shoutlife or GodTube (which are the Christian variants of MySpace and YouTube).  I'm also on Facebook.  :) 

Got scads of friends at all three places; I'm a very popular guy!  :D

Mama has the computer set on SafetyGuard, so no shady characters or other undesirables can find me; if they try to, I can block 'em if I feel uncomfortable about a potential friend invite.  :)  My pages at Shoutlife, GodTube, and Facebook are very "kid-friendly" and safe.
