I don't know if I can take much more of my mother's idiosyncrasies ...

My mom is the type who puts all of her spices in alphabetical order.  If even one is out of place, she goes bonkers. 

She makes sure the dishes are put up according to color, size, and whatnot in the cupboard.

My mother is the type who puts all of her clothes according to color or style.

She also spends money that she doesn't have on clothes and shoes.  She has so many now she could start her own clothing or shoe boutique!

My mom has always been something of an oddball, but ever since dad left her three years ago when I was twelve, she's only gotten a lot worse.

She has these periodic bouts of depression coupled with euphoria.  (She calls them her "moods.")  I swear that she is bi-polar, but of course, she won't admit it.

Her off-the-wall moods and her idiosyncrasies are beginning to drive me and my younger brothers crazy!  One doesn't know what kind of mood mom will be in upon rising for the day; at times, being around mom is like walking on eggshells!

When mom is in one of her moods, I end up taking care of my brothers.  I often end up being the man of the house.  Well guess you could say I AM the man of the house, since dad's no longer in the picture.  Creep found another woman he loved better than mom, and so, there you go.

No warning.  None, whatsoever.

I have been working up the courage to call for her to get help.  If she won't do it, I will.  I am tired of seeing mom living like this.  I miss my old mom, the one that used to laugh and spend time with us.  The one who would sing silly songs.  The one who would play a game of baseball or a game with us.

No.  She'd rather arraange her clothes or shoes, or spend money, or sleep when she is feeling sorry for herself again.

I am at the end of my rope.  I am going to have to do something fast, or else *I'm* the one who's gonna end up in the looney-bin!!
