Tiffany Dawn is twelve years old.  She wants to be a country singer when she grows up.  Her favorite singer is none other than the "Coal Miner's Daughter", herself, Loretta Lynn.  Tiffany knows just about all of her songs by heart.

Tiffany was blessed with a gifted singing voice.  She has been singing since she was only four years old; she's sung at some of the local Oprys here in Texas, where we make our home.  She's also seen some of the biggest stars in country music (and has met a good portion of them, too), but nobody floats her boat more than Loretta Lynn.  In fact, she's seen Loretta Lynn over 100 times and has met her in person more than once.

Tiffany was also born with Down syndrome.  She is mentally handicapped with the mind of a six-year-old child, but she's really never let it stop her from doing what she loves most out of life.

Besides singing or going to country music shows (her favorite two activities), Tiffany also loves to play with her toys, go to church, read picture books, write simple little stories on the computer, and collect Cabbage Patch dolls.  She also loves to play with her older sisters Charmin Marie (10) and Talitha Grace (13).  (Talitha also sings; as for Charmin, she is our resident "tomboy": she prefers softball to singing; always has.)

Tiffany is in the third grade at Winterhaven Christian Acadamy, which is a private school.  We didn't want our children in public school, so we opted for a Christian-based education for them.  All of our girls are doing very well in school; we are very proud of them, especially Tiffany, who has accomplished so much!

We could have started Tiffany in school when she was younger, but the fact is, she wasn't mature enough just a few short years back, so we waited.  We taught her here at home; this is the first year she's attended school.  Even though she is behind her peers, she is eager to learn and loves her teachers so much.  Tiffany is also one of the most popular kids, especially when her friends find out that she's sung on different local Opry shows! :)  Then they ask for her autograph and make her feel like a bona-fide country star!  :)

Well, I hate to run, but I have to pick up the girls at school and then make dinner.  We also have to get ready for the Wylie Opry tomorrow night; Tiffany is singing there.  I am sure she will do a very good job; she always does when she sings!  Until later, this is Morgan Whitlock from Wylie, Texas, saying so long; I will write in here soon!  God bless you too!
