This is Johnny writing. I am not feeling too good as I write this, but I AM feeling better. I am still recovering from a breathing episode that left me scared.
You see, I saw Jesus. Now THAT isn't scary, but almost dying was. I saw the doctors and nurses working on me, and seeing me lying on the table dead really scared me. I really thought tht I was about to die!! And Jesus, I guess, didn't want me just yet; He told me to go back home (to earth); it wasn't time, He told me.
Darn. I wanted to go with Jesus....
You see, I nearly died. I had a seizure, and I then quit breathing.
I have epilepsy (among other serious health problems--muscular dystrophy being the worst one--I'm in a wheelchair most of the time--, vision and hearing problems, and learning problems), but I AM getting better..although slowly. I also have serious breathing problems and have to use oxygen.
I've been in the hospital for about 3 days, and I just got out of the ICU this morning. But I still have to be on oxygen, and my chest still hurts. (I guess they pounded on me pretty good to bring me back to life.) My arms hurt, too; they are all bruised; it feels like someone's been using me for a punching bag!! :(
But I AM starting to feel better; today I even managed to eat a little. I also got to get my catheter taken out, and I was able to go to the toilet on my own (although a nurse had to help; I am still feeling quite weak).
My sister, Ronee', got out of the hospital yesterday; she was in for 1 1/2 weeks due to her arthritis acting up. She had another flare; and I am sure she will write about THAT..getting out of the hospital, I mean. She always likes to let everyone know just how she is doing.
I have never done something like that, but it sounds like a good idea. (Although it IS hard trying to type with two bruised arms, and also a pair of I.V's. Quite painful, that!!)
So I am trying to do what Ronee' has done before..letting her friends know what has been going on with her. Except it is MY turn.
So there. Now you know that I am in the hospital, but I AM getting better!!
Can't wait to get these I.V.'s out, and can't to GET ON OUT OF HERE!!! I want to go home!!!!!!!
It's NO FUN being sick!!! It's the absolute ~PITS~!!
This second book in Edie's 'Puddle' series is filled with wonderful catchy rhyming poems that have positive nostalgic messages. Her whimsical illustrations carry the poems along on ripples of warm vibrant colours.
