Every day is a new learning experience for me.

I becamse paralyzed about six months ago.  I developed a rare illness (acute transverse myelitis).  

It left me depending on a wheelchair.  I can no longer walk on my own.

Maybe one day I will, but for now a wheelchair is my main mode of transportation.

It was very, very hard at first, but every day, I am learning to do more thngs and am learning that I can still do a lot of the same things I did before I was sruck down by illnes.

My name is Karla Adamson.  I live in Turlock, California, with my boyfriend, Colton Reisinger.  Colt and I have been together now since last year when we both started college; that is where I met him.

He was also the one who led me to the Lord.  I was born a Mormon, but accepted Christ as my Savior.  I haven't looked back.

Maybe it was a good thing.  I don't think I could have handled it if I didn't have Him in my life!

Anyway, there is a good possibilty of maybe walking again, but right now, at this point and time, I don't see it happening.  My legs remain as dead and useless as ever.  They remind me of two limp, pale sausages.  LOL

I am embarrassed by them, so I keep them covered or wear pants.  LOL  It sure helps in a pinch ...

I have two sisters: Karen and Kyle.  Karen is older; Kyle, meanwhile, is younger.  I'm in the middle.  We are all in our twenties.  I am 25 while Karen is 29.  As for Kyle, she is the baby: she is only 21, barely out of teenhood.  

Karen is married and lives with her husband, Ken, in Sacramento.  Kyle remains at home with our parents, Jack and Maureen, and I, as I said earlier, live with my boyfriend.  

We all have very good, happy, productive lives, but I am worried for my family: none of them have accepted Christ: they are still Mormons.  I pray for them every day.

Well, I hate to run along like this, but I have to get some sleep before rising in a few hours for church.  Since I am singing with the worship team today, I have to be there by eight o'clock.  It's now only four, four forty-five in the morning.  Too early for me!

 Even the birds aren't up yet and it's still dark!
