Nashville, Tennessee, March 9, 2012, 6:25 a.m., C.S.T.~

Dear Journal~

Can't sleep: durned muscle cramps and fibromyalgia have me wide awake.  Have taken something for it, but the meds just haven't really kicked in yet.  Very aggravating!

Crystal Montgomery here.  Hope this finds you all well.  As for me, I'm a mess.  Good thing I'm not a horse: my husband, Erick, would have to take me out to pasture and shoot the living daylights out of me! LOL

Good thing the kids are past babyhood: my youngest, Tanner Wiiliam, is five years old now.  He is old enough to help with the simpler house chores.  And Erick, Jr. and Mogene are wonderful at helping me, their poor decripit mamma, out!  I just thank God I have three wonderful, gorgeous, loving kids!

I am doing okay, but today my MS and fibro are rearing their ugly heads.  I call my MS and fibro attacks the Evil Two-Headed Monster (which it is!).  This is when I wish I were totally paralyzed or didn't have any feeling in my lower legs, back, or hips!

Isn't that pathetic??

Erick has gone to work; he probably won't be home until later today sometime.  My husband, the intern.  He has been spending a lot of time at Vandy (Vanderbilt) Children's Hospital, where he is on his way to becoming a full-fledged pediatrician.  He truly does enjoy his work and it helps with the bills: we don't have to worry all that much about money not coming in (plus I make a nice little chunk of change on the side, from my job at Nashville Memorial Hospital, where I am a medical services specialist).  I do get a little disability check, which helps out even more.

I just thank God we are both working: we are able to pay the bills, but the ever-rising cost of gas (which, in kind, drives the cost of everything else up) doesn't leave us as much cash to spare as it used to.  I just wonder what's going to happen when gas hits $4.00 per gallon ... or even $5.00 a gallon!  

Eek!! I dread to even think about the ramifications of that ....

The weather is cooler and clear out; we did have some storms roll through the Nashville metro area earlier this week, including the threat of large hail, damaging winds, and yes, tornadoes.  Thank God, no tornadoes around here, but we did have a lot of wind and large hail.  No damage other than small tree branches being pummeled by the strong winds and some hail dents, and some loss of power, but nothing more than that (around our place, at least).  The skies did get really nasty looking; I was so sure we were going to buy the farm!

There may be a chance for northern lights tonight.  I hope so; it's not very often when we get to see this type of celestial showcase!  May have to charge up my camera batteries and try to take videos or pictures of the auroras!

Erick says I am crazy for doing that, but I'm sorry.  I can't help it.  I have always wanted to see the northern lights ever since my sister (Louisiana) showed me the pictures of the ones she took when she and her family were in Alaska a few years back!  I think it would be awesome to see the northern lights!

Well, I koow this isn't much, but my life is boring.  LOL  And the meds are starting to kick in: my mind is starting to get all muddled up.  My thoughts are not as lucid as they were when I started writing in this thing.  I will write in here again soon; until then, this is Crystal Montgomery saying so long!  I am going to go back to bed now; let Mogene deal with her little brothers: she's capable enough!  Take care and God bless!
