Seems that no matter what we go through in life, God is somehow, always there.  This latest storm we are facing is no exception ...

My husband, Kenny, just got out of the hospital after having a severe intestinal blockage.  He ended up having to have surgery (and a colostomy done).  He is still far from being well, but he is back home, where he belongs, and every day is a little better.  We are both getting used to "the new normal", and while it is not easy at times, Kenny has come a long way.  He was in the hospital for a month.

Now the next order of business is to pay off the medical bills and to get the supplies Kenny needs in order to survive and function.  The supplies he needs are definitely not cheap, but we are both trusting in an Almighty God to provide for his needs, as well as my very own.

We also have to work with Kenny to get his appetite back and to help him with physical therapy.  He is still rather weakened and he tires so easily.  Yet it is better than nearly losing him, which we did twice.  He suffered a heart attack on the operating table, as they were doing his surgery, and had an allergic reaction to a drug that put him into a coma for a few days.  It was a very scary, uncertain time.

Thank God for friends and family who have been stopping by to help Kenny (not to mention myself) out!  I don't know what I would ever do without them!  We have also had the visiting nurse coming out every day to answer any questions we might have and to check up on him.  So far, Kenny is doing fairly well; he's just weak and doesn't have much of an appetite.

Just keep Kenny and myself (Mildred) in your prayers; we both can use a major miracle, especially when those darned medical bills start rolling in!
