Dear Journal~
Ronee' Le-Anne Stinkowitz here. Hope this finds you all well. As for me, I'm in some serious pain ... and the weather certainly is not helping matters any. Rain, rain, and more rain all week here in Louisiana (or should that be LOUSY-anna??)! UGH!!
To make matters worse, our area is currently under a tornado watch (until 12 noon), and Lafayette has already had at least 6" of rain ... and the rain continues to pour down. Not a good day to do anything but stay home and curl up in bed. Or sleep.
I'm also flaring. My body doesn't have to remind me that it's bad out. I already know. Michael needs to get out his gun, put me out to pasture, and just shoot me now! :( (NOT really, but I AM hurting, folks!!)
Seems like ever since my husband and I got back from Tennessee, all it's done is rain, rain, RAIN!! I haven't seen the sun (or blue skies) in over a week!!
We had a great time in Tennessee, visiting my family. It was great seeing Maman, Daddy, Grandpere' et Grandmere', and all my brothers and sisters (and cousins) again. It was also great seeing Mama and Pop Stinkowitz, my in-laws, and my friends at church. The Cantata at church went very well; I always enjoy singing "O, Holy Night"; I have sung that song ever since I was small. The people really seem to enjoy it and that song, to me, is the very heart of what Christmas is about.
My new brother, Sebastian, is adorable, but let's face it: he's a handful and a half! He makes my brother who has autism (Akihiko) look like he's in a COMA!! Active doesn't even BEGIN to describe him! WOW!! I was so happy to meet him, but REALLY????
Johnny looked great as always (he's FINALLY gaining some needed weight!), but he dropped a mega-bomb on us: he and Rebekka, his wife, are gonna be PARENTS!! That's right: Rebekka is PREGNANT!! It's been nothing but a huge, bona fide MIRACLE!! I just pray the pregnancy goes without any incidents; I am praying with all my heart and soul that it will!!
So that means I'm gonna get a new neice or nephew!! Whee!!
WOW!! I'd best get off of here; it's really bamming and banging outside! That lightning was close; the thunder was almost instantaneous!! EEP!! Too close for my comfort! Poor "Cajun", my Maine Coon cat, is hiding under the couch; poor baby ... she hates storms almost as much as me, her mama!! "Jambalaya", my Ragdoll kitten, meanwhile, doesn't pay any attention: he's snoozing away!
Will write in here again soon; just pray we don't float away (or get blown away by a tornado)! I would greatly appreciate it! In the meantime, I will have to see if I can find my pirogue if we have to go anywhere .... Take care and God bless!

Maybe Ronee needs to break out the pirogue ... they're getting WET down there in South Louisiana ... Well done, Karen, hope the sun shines soon for her and Michael!
