I have heard that when one has God in their life they are at peace. I don't know if that is even possible. I mean, the world is in such shambles nowadays; how can ANYONE have peace, especially if so many bad things keep happening??
School shootings, fires, car wrecks, people dying in natural disasters, people suffering from terrible diseases, wars, terror attacks ... so much dissaray in this world ....
How can a loving God allow these things to keep on happening? Why can't He just come down from His throne in Heaven and take care of business, like, right now?? I just don't understand God's reasoning sometimes ....
My own life is a mess as well. I definitely do not feel peace. Bills out the wazoo, collection agencies calling every day, the price of everything going up, bratty kids with terrible attitudes, a wife who no longer wants to be with me or the kids, a job that may be scrubbed soon (business has fallen way behind and we're struggling to keep afloat). So much worry and stress; I don't know if I can take much more ....
I wonder what my life would be like if I had God (or peace) because right now I feel like I've fallen into a pit that I can't get out of.
HA! Why should this guy be any diferent than the rest of us? I almost thought you you were describing me until you got to the part about the wife leaving. I have most of the same problems as he does; big deal! ;-) Seriously tho, I am at peace. I know God won't give me more than I can handle. I just wish He didn't trust me so much.
