A boy fawns over a former love, then is shocked when he sees her at a concert. She is nothing like he remembers.

Ashley.

How well I remember.  For one thing, she and I used to be going steady; then she moved away to a different state, and we lost touch with one another.

Yet she was never far from my mind.  Turns out I thought about Ashley Keddington constantly.  There are so many memories I have of her.  How she looked.  How she talked.  How she smelled.  How sweet and outgoing she was.  Her vivacious spirit.  Her long, chestnut colored tresses and those big, huge, amazing blue eyes that seemed to look right through you.

God, she was so beautiful, built like a lover's dream, with curves in all the right places!

She then moved to Alaska and I thought I would never see her again.

Until this weekend, that is.  I had gone to see The Rolling Stones at the Convention Center here in Dallas; I had been saving for and looking forward to this concert for ages, it seems like.  The Rolling Stones so happen to be my all time favorite group in rock music; I've loved them for years!  It was a dream come true .  Then I saw her, right in the front row, dancing and singing along with all their greatest songs.

I thought I was seeing things.  Maybe it was another girl that looked like Ashley; Ashley was, after all, far away in Alaska.  (I was in Texas.)  Maybe she had a twin sister that she didn't know about, but somehow, that seemed highly unlikely.

I took a good, hard, long look at the girl.  It definitely looked a lot like Ashley, but then again, it didn't.  The Ashley I remember had chestnut hair; this girl's hair was dyed black and shorn to just below her ears.  She looked like a sheep.  She was wearing a rather revealing low cut top, skintight jeans, high top boots, and chains around her neck.  Her makeup was heavy, which made her already pale complextion look ghostlike.  Then I heard that killer Australian accent and I knew it was Ashley ... but what was she doing in town??

I somehow had to find out.  I somehow had to work up the nerve to ask her (but knowing full well that if it wasn't her, I'd only end up looking like a fool).
