Howdy!  This is your little friend, Kata Danae' Fitzhugh, from Texas!  I hope this finds y'all doing great!

I am getting ready to go to Nashville again next month (actually in a few weeks); I am going to be recording my second CD.  My first one came out six months ago.  So now I am a star! (Well, maybe not a "STAR", but I AM well on my way!!)  I can't wait; I love Nashville!!

I got to sing at the Grand Ole Opry last year.  Boy, was that ever exciting!!  I was so nervous I was afraid I'd cry or forget the words to my song, but I didn't; I was very brave, but inside I was really shaking hard!  I got to sing with Loretta Lynn!!  She was so nice and said she liked how good I sang!!  WOW!!

We are also going to go to the Country Music Association Fan Fair; I've never been there before, and I know all the big time country stars will be there.  I got my autorgraph books and my camera and film ready, just in case!  That is gonna be tons of fun!!!!

My family is doing well: Mama, Daddy, my brothers Kenny (12) and Kasey (8), and my sisters Dusty Bluebonnet (1) and Kadie (15).  Most of us kids aren't that little anymore excepting for the baby, and she is the cutest thing EVER!!  She is spoiled rotten!! ('Course I had something to do with that; I just love my little baby sister so much!!)  We are still performing as a family band, and we plan on playing at some festivals in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, as well as here in Wylie!  I love summer, and I love performing with my family!

Besides performing, I aim to get in a lot of swimming, playtime, and hanging out with my friends.  Summer promises to be awesome for not only myself, but my entire family!!

Being able to sing with Loretta like I did makes me even more determined to become a country singer.  That is my number one dream in life.  If I could be half the singer that Loretta Lynn is, then I'd have it made!!  She is my all time favorite female singer in country music!!

If I can't make it as a singer, then maybe I'll be a teacher or a lawyer, but right now, music is my choice.  It's 'cause I've been performing since I was a little bitty squirt and it's about all I know how to do.  I don't mean to make it sound like I'm bragging, but it's the gospel truth!
