This is me. Johnny. I have a letter to write to you because I have something I want to get off my chest.
I know I should be happy and all, for Christmas time is almost here, and you are getting ready for your Big Trip to bring presents to all of the good little girls and boys; but this year I really don't want anything for Christmas.
It's not because I was bad..in fact, I think I have been a very good little boy. But there are so many people who don't have anything..food, a home, love, a family, their health. Or there are those who lost loved ones, thanks to accidents or thanks to events like last year, on September 11. I lost a friend in the terrorist attacks, and since then I have been incredibly sad, especially since the leader behind the attacks is still on the loose; and they have no idea WHERE he is! If Osama bin Ladin could be caught, that would be a GREAT thing; he's hurt way too many people now as it is! Or, if Saddam Husain could be caught, too, that would be great. Saddam Husain is a very bad man, too.
I also don't want anything for Christmas because I already have more than I need, and I won't be around long. You see, Santa, I am dying. I have muscular dystrophy, and I am in a wheelchair. I am getting worse every day, and it is getting harder for me to do things. I need more help now than I used to, and it is making both me and my family sad!
I also don't want anything because there are people who won't even HAVE a Christmas thanks to the things I listed above; they need a Christmas more than I do. So please, Santa, do NOT bring me ANYTHING!! Take care of the poor or sad people first, okay?
