I never thought this would happen, but it has ... it's a nightmare I wish I could wake up from ....

My daddy, Armand P. Moliere', passed away peacefully in his sleep last night; he turned 90 years old back in March.

We are busy notifiying the children and have made funeral arrangements.  He will be buried on Tuesday and his wake is from six to 9 tonight at our church.  There will also be another viewing tomorrow night from 5-8.  We expect the family to gather together as we come to say our goodbyes to this military Veteran who served for two years in the Army-Air Corps during the 1940's.

I am trying to write this without crying, but it is so damned hard .... 

I was the one who found him in his bed, still as anything.  When I touched him, I was shocked to discover that he was cold.  I listened to see if he was breathing and felt for a pulse, but he was gone.  It is something no person should ever have to bear, but it has happened, and we must come to the realization that Daddy Armand is now at peace, healed and whole, in Heaven, where he sits at Jesus' feet.  He went through so much on this earth and he fought valiantly to the very end.  I'm just glad he didn't suffer when he passed; he went peacefully.

Well, I hate to run, but the phone is ringing, and the doorbell is sounding.  I am sure it is more of the kids calling or arriving.  I will write more later on; just keep our family in your thoughts and prayers during this sudden time of grief .... thanks and God bless!
