The sequel to part one. The family faces a crushing blow; yet, despite it, they lean on God for His Help during this sad time in their lives. But the young girl writing this story is having a particularly hard time, and she finds herself being angry at God, and she acknowledges that she hates Him for taking her little brother away to Heaven.
Morgan Giovanni-Broussard here.

Today, I am incredibly sad. Yesterday, my little brother, Hunter, died of the cancer that had consumed his tiny body; and we were all with him when he died. He died in grandmommy's arms, and he died peacefully. He would have been 16 months old tomorrow, the 15th.

We have been trying to go on despite Hunter's illness; but somehow every moment of our lives were spent thinking of my little baby brother, and we couldn't be far apart, just in case he got worse and died. Well, two days ago, Hunter went downhill fast, and our doctor had to come over to try to ease Hunter's pain; and he then slipped into a coma; and he died yesterday evening about 6:20. As I said, we were with him as he died in grandmommy's arms.

I still can't believe he is gone. I look at his empty crib, and a feeling of sadness envelops me because he was so young; yet he suffered terribly; and it just doesn't seem fair. He was just a baby; why does a Loving God allow such pain and suffering? It just goes everything against what I learned in Sunday school class! Why couldn't have God healed my little brother instead of letting him DIE?

Now Hunter is with Jesus, and I am numb with shock. I guess the full impact of Hunter's death hasn't hit me as of yet, but I am sure it will hit me like a sledgehammer. Poor grandmommy and granddaddy are crying all the time, and it hurts me to see them so upset. I try to be brave for them, but I find myself wanting to cry; but somehow I just...can't. I want to cry, but my eyes remain dry; and I just sit here, holding Hunter's favorite stuffed teddybear, trying to make sense over what has happened to my little brother.

I hug the teddybear to my chest, and shut my eyes; and I smell the bear, hoping to smell my little brother's odor on it; in hopes that I still can. But all he smells like is old, musty fur; and in my anger, I throw the teddybear across the room and flounce out Hunter's room in a huff.

If God loved Hunter, or us, He would have healed him of the cancer, like he did our Auntie Ina; and we would still have him. But no..He HAD to take my brother away, and now I find myself HATING God! I just can't understand why He would do something so horrible to our family; haven't we already been through more than enough?? I am so mad at Him right now I can't see straight, and I wouldn't care if I ever prayed to Him again!

Can't write anymore..I am too angry right now. 'Bye!
