Plenty of people have experienced embarrassing situations in their life from time to time, but I am going to write about one such incident that happened to me.
It was last year during the Christmas cantata at our church. I was in the cantata (I was an angel), and we angels had to sing, as though we were announcing the Birth of Jesus Christ. I was ten then (I am now 11), and as I was coming across the church platform, I tripped on my white angel's robe; and I fell flat on my face. I quickly got up; but I was trying to act nonchalant about the fall. But I knew everybody and their mother saw me, as I could hear people in the audience snickering; and I could feel the heat rising as my face probably turned redder and redder by the second.
If that wasn't bad enough, in the humor of the moment, I proceeded to bow a sweeping bow towards the congregation; and I thought Pastor Bilkey was going to choke. He tried to keep from laughing, but he was unsuccessful; but at the same time, his eyes blazed with anger; and I knew at once that he wasn't at all pleased with me.
To this day, some of my friends at church still tease me and ask me if I am a "fallen angel" because of my spill during the Christmas cantata. Or they will ask me if "I had a nice trip".
