Got the idea from this morning..I woke up with a swollen, inflamed eye. It is either allergies or pink eye. (I hope it is the former. It feels a little better now. Not as itchy or red.) It's not my left eye, only my right.
Stupid allergies! Woke up this morning, and my eyes are very inflamed and red; and they are runny, too. And my nose is all stopped up, and when I talk, I sound funny! I look and act like I have a cold, but it is NOT a cold. It is allergies. TRUST me. I KNOW allergy attacks when they strike, and this is definitely an allergy attack!
I go through this each spring. I am allergic to the pollen and stuff that is flying around in the air, and the only time I EVER get any relief is when it rains (but then my joints do an awful lot of talking!), or if it is winter, when this pollen and grass and junk isn't out! I swear I go through a million boxes of Kleenex before the year is out! :(
I take medicine for my allergies, but there are times where I look bad (what with my swollen, red, teary, itchy eyes, runny nose, and swelling around my sinus area), and this is when I feel ugly. It is bad enough I am on crutches and braces; does my swollen up face or inflamed eyes have to bring some unwanted attention, too?? And the medicines are really powerful; they have to be, to tackle allergies like mine. But they leave me all fuzzy-headed and goofy, and I don't like feeling that way all of the time! I wish I could just throw my stupid allergy stuff out the window and NOT have to take them EVER again! But noooo...I have to have ALLERGIES! BOO! >:(
I used to be allergic to a gazillion things (NOT really, but I was allergic to just about anything), but as I get older, my allergies are going away (excepting for the peanuts, pollen, grass, penicillin, and bee parts), and I am getting better. But ONCE in a while the allergies like to visit me, and then I spend my days inside, sneezing and coughing my fool little head off! Like today! It looks like I either got a bad cold or a major case of PINK EYE! ARRRRRGGHHHHHH!!!!
I feel for Ronee.. Keep up the great writing, _Plz easmil e the stories you want to add to the book asap as I want to send them out!
