The Riley family of Burleson, Texas, meets their new baby son, adopted from China.
Ohhh...I can't believe he is actually HERE!!
Our little son is finally here, in OUR home, from China! He is so beautiful; I can't help but to stare at him as he lies in his crib, worn out from his lengthy plane ride and then his bottle!
Little Xi-Wang is absolutely aDORable; he is cuter than he is in the picture the Chinese orphanage sent! He looks like a little Buddha, and his hair is flyaway and thick and incredibly soft; and his arms and legs are fat dimpled sausages! It is hard to believe that his very own MOTHER could give such a lovely little child up; it doesn't seem to make any sense! Sure, he may be hearing-impaired, but our oldest daughter is, too, and she will be more than happy to teach him sign language and English!
My name is Hannah Riley, and I am the husband to John; and we have three daughters: Grace Courage, Heaven Joy, and Angel Miracle. Grace, Heaven, and Angel are 13, 10, and 5; and now we have a lovely baby boy just arrived from China, little Xi-Wang, who is all of 13 months of age! Our family is finally complete, and we have the son we have always wanted! We also have four cats, all Maine Coons, named "Wiggles", "Tickly-Poo" (our youngest, Heaven Joy, named him!), "Charles", and "FurrBucket", and three yappy Pomeranians named "Silkey", "Ryan's Hope", and "Gigi". We live in Burleson, Texas, where my husband works for the Chamber of Commerce for our city; and I am a part time nurse's aide. We go to Faithville Community Church, and my children are all attending schools here in Burleson. Our oldest is in junior high; and the two youngest are in elementary school.
Later:
I am in the kitchen, making supper, as I write this. I am waiting for the children to come in from outside to wash up and get ready for supper. In the meantime, little Xi-Wang is still asleep in his crib.
I will be writing more about our little boy in the coming weeks, as a part of a journal. I will be writing about him, and my feelings pertaining to adoption and adopting a little special-needs boy from China. Stay tuned~In the meantime, I have to see what is going on; I hear little Xi-Wang crying in his crib; he must be waking up from his nap....
A wonderful conclusion, but I have to agree with Karla, children are the beginng.
