Dr. William Hudson Stryker is a man who doesn't mince words. He will tell things to patients in his care in a curt, abrubt, often abrasive manner; but despite his cold, uncaring manner or exterior, he is a doctor who does his job exceedingly well, and many patients owe their lives to this man.
Dr. Stryker is in his 40's, but he has been a doctor of Neurology for 20 years. He has recently acheived the title of Head of Neurology at Nashville Memorial Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, an honor many of his co-workers feel is very deserving.
He is respected and admired by many of his peers, but his personality resembles that of "a dead fish". He has been known to be gruff and forthright in his opinions, and he hardly, if ever, cracks a smile. He always appears to have a very serious expression on his face, and he has often come across to both patients and co-workers as "cold, unflappable, and uncaring".
He has saved countless lives in his career; many people who were not expected to live are still thriving, and his track record of successful surgeries is nothing short of remarkable. His ability to "make snap decisions in times of crisis" is impeccable.
Dr. Stryker is mainly known for his being a respected neurosurgeon, but he does have a private life. He is married to Angela Therese (nee Thompson), and he and Angela have been married for 10 years now. Together, they have one infant son, Rheese Hudson, who is going on the age of two years. His wife, who has been married before, also has two daughters, Kamara Lynn (6) and Sierra Phylea (9). He isn't home much of the time because of his demanding work at the hospital, but he does love his family and takes great pride in showing them off whenever he can have that chance.
