A story of a "nes", a miracle for today because tonight is the first night of CHANUKAH ... "NES GADOL HAYA SHAM", A GREAT MIRACLE HAPPENED THERE.
If you have a Chanukah dreidel, note the four Hebrew letters, one placed on each side of the four-sided dreidel.
The "Nun" refers to the word "NES" meaning "miracle".
The "Gimel" refers to "GADOL" meaning "big" or "great".
The "Hay" refers to "HAYA" meaning "happened".
The "Shin" refers to "SHAM" meaning there.
The last line of my story is an allusion to the Chanukah theme of "Nes Gadol Haya Sham" when we recall the miracle of the the temple oil lasting a miraculous seven days more than it should have ... given that it was but one day's volume of oil.
