With May being designated as "Older Americans' Month," and now that I have joined the ranks as an "AARP-escent (50+), I'm reminded of a rap song I was inspired to write in 1985. As a Gerontology Social Worker attending a Catholic Charities convention out of state then, we were encouraged to make a brief "icebreaker" intro tune for others at our meeting. So I got everybody to rhythmically click their fingers as I sang: "My name is Keith, I work with all older folks, From those who play bingo, To those who have strokes, They're all really people, Just like you and me, I strive to work always, For their dignity!"
