Leap Year Memories of losing my Wedding Ring in 2012 ... staying out of the doghouse!

I have a dilemma that's in reference to this Leap Year, and I'm still trying to get out of the doghouse for something related to the famous drummer with the Beatles, “Ringo!”
You see, I lost my wedding ring in 2012 and guess on what date it happened? February 29th – Leap Day of that Leap Year!
I really don't know where I lost the ring – it could still be somewhere in our house or outside. There was no name inscribed on the inside of the gold band, so if someone had found it, it very likely got sold to one of those “We Buy Gold” businesses, which became very prevalent that year.
So as we are in Leap Day/Year 2020, and I still have not found my missing wedding ring, I keep holding onto the faith that one day, I will find it.
Maybe I can start an "Addendum Anniversary Date" for Maria and me - this will be our "2nd Leap Year Anniversary" of "'ringing in (and out) Leap Day/Year!'" ... oops, that doesn't sound too romantic, does it??? - lol
That is an interesting way to remember every Leap Day! But I don't believe losing that ring had any effect on your life since, except maybe your wife's concern. I never paid much interest in rings on my paralyzed hands and when I married late at 40, my wife had been married before and we had no engagement or wedding rings.
That ring may still turn up when you least expect it. One time, I lost my billfold. I checked all the usual places but it didn't turn up. I was riding Metrolift and suspected that it was lost there, but I only had to use tickets to ride and no money. Because of the poor use of my hands, I had already given up using money and went to work without any need for it, except occasionally. I lost my credit card and my driver's license, but didn't make any effort to make any changes with them.
And then, one morning as I was returning from the bathroom in my wheelchair, I saw my billfold on the floor! It had slipped out of my pocket, gone under the backrest just above the cushion, and landed on my battery pack covered by a backpack where it wasn't seen. For some reason during those three weeks not having a billfold caused me no grief at all and its miraculous reappearance was grateful because I still had my Social Security card that I got when I was 16 and other mementos that I carried around in that billfold everywhere, never even getting wet.
