With Valentine's Day coming up, I recalled when I was at Loyola and had a crush on New Iberian, Brenda DeKeyzer Lowry. I got one of my friends to help me make her some candles with the White Shoulders perfume that has a very romantic aroma that she liked.
What resulted from that Valentine's encounter? Eventually, i took her on a date to a Saints game after I made her some homemade Seafood Quiche Lorraine from my late Mom's recipe ... but neither the Saints nor I scored!
We're both still platonic friends and found out, after a long hiatus, that we both got Masters in Social Work and love to play guitar and sing, and we had a reunion of sorts at the Blue Dog restaurant in Lafayette after a Social Work conference.
