Sadness is a way of life I think
Even when times are good
And filled with hope
It's my nature to live in the past...on the brink
Joy and love abound or I think they should
When beauty and peace are on the horizon
Life takes heavy breaths, waiting for the doom
We each go forward, but for I...it's always backward
Always wishing, dreaming for more than I have
And if having is abundant
It's not clear why I run
Fear engulfs my daily being, it's everywhere
Deep within, where no one else can see
A flaw? Could that be the villain?
Placing blame on unknowns, a missing link
In my brain, in my heart, or blood that flows
Always guessing, wondering, why so sad?
LIfe seems full, not always easy, am I mad?
He was the sun, then they were my hope
Each has gone...one by one... when will I?

Deep insightful write. The survival mode involves looking at the day, not yesterday or tommorrow, just today. Live each day as it were your last!
