Memories of Camp Chimo 

I was a very young child when I grew up at Camp Chimo around the 1950's.
You can't remember this when you are about 1 yr. old but as I grew up remembering came quite clearly to me. My Dad and Mom would pack 5 of us kids into the station wagon after school had ended before the summertime holidays. We would travel from Oakville all the way up to Lake Temagami , about 4 hours or so and I would jump into the very back of the station wagon and sleep some of the way up there. We also brought our pet black cat, Hubert, and the dog too. Singing songs like 50 bottles of beer on the wall, was a bit much but kept us busy...lol. There was so much to do at my Dad's fishing Camp, Camp Chimo. Mom had us kids busy with helping in the kitchen, or the laundry house, or even at the main lodge with customers buying food and fishing equipment.

I have grown up there for almost half of my life so I do have many good times to remember and to write about it could lead to a long novel so I will just say that I will remember Camp Chimo and My Dad as he's now passed on and will always be remembered forever.
