Dear Bernadette,
today i write you a letter telling you a story, so you dont miss me much while im away:
A frog once sat by a pond and was staring at the moonless sky at night. A grasshopper was hopping home wards when he realized the frogs presence. He froze in the fear of being eaten. But he soon realised that the frog was making no effort to eat him. So he heaved a sigh of relief!
He dared to ask the frog, " why you sitting here?" " Because I'm in love" replied the frog.
The grasshopper laughed at him and dared to ask who it was that the frog was in love with.
" The moon" said the frog. The hopper decided the frog was mad. He continued, "do you think she loves you back?"
The frog sighed, clearly in love and starry eyed looks at the sky. " Yes"
THe grasshopper is intrigued, "how'd you know? There is no moon tonight, obviously she doesn't love you."
The frog closes his eyes and says, "I know she loves me because everynight she shows me more and more of her self, a new shade every night. And today, she is testing me, my love, hinding but I know she sees me and ill wait to see her again."
"And when she does come out, how will you show her you love her? She's way over there" the grasshopper continued.
The frog looks at the pond, and touches the still water with his hand causing a few ripples. " She always comes over, She always finds me here."
The grass hopper moves on but the frog still waits for the moon to return.
The hopper will never understand his love but the frog doesn't care.
I love you my moon, My Bernie
Yours,
The frog prince
