Dear Louie,

I know you probably don't want to ever hear from me again, so I SWEAR this will be my last letter. I just wanted to let you know, I am still exsisting. This is Audrey Jackson writing by the way. I know Naomi thought I had ended my life, but when it came down to it I was too much of a wimp. I am staying alive, I don't know how. When I was released from the hospital, I had no where to go, so I had to check into a local shelter for battered women. I am sure Naomi thought I would not even wait an hour before finding a bridge or walk out in front of a bus but I didn't. I came into this small, filthy room and took some of the pain pills the doctor gave me before I left and I went to sleep for the next 12 hours. I didn't wake up until they closed the shelter for the day and I had to find somewhere else to go until it opened again. I wandered into the library, which is where I am emailing you from.

I don't understand it, but for some reason, people seem to want me to stay alive, so for now I am. Until the Lord decides to end my life and take me away from my suffering. I don't see the point to my life without my girls though. It is totally empty and void.

Well, I will close now. I don't expect you to reply. I know you are very angry with me and I can't say I blame you. I do not expect you to still want to be my friend. I know I ruined things.
